KFC SG APP REVIEW - SUCKS!

Sharing my personal experience

It happened more than 3 months ago and I am still waiting for my refund....

It was the first time I used the app to order as I was in a hurry. I chose to pick-up at a store and paid  via credit card. So it was considered quite fast and efficient for busy people. However, my order was not complete (missing food item), I only realized that after reaching home.

I tried to use the 'contact us' button on the app but it cannot be launched.
In the end, I used the website contact us and soon someone contacted me.
He promised a cash refund of the missing items via mail and I agreed as I did not want the hassle of calling the bank to refute a transaction.
Initially I was quite impressed with their speed and service, however, after waiting for more than 3 months, I am utterly disgusted with their lies.

@kfc_sg your app and service sucks max!

Sale Gimmick! Watsons 20% sale

Why it is not a real sale, see below for my reasonings

The terms & conditions in small print stated that the items entitled to 20% discount must not be a sale item in itself. It includes item that is having “buy-2” promotion, even if you buy only one and paying no promotion price for it, it is still not entitled to 20% off.  There is even a worse t&c, those items that manufacturing printed extra 20% on the packaging selling at normal retail price are also classified as sale item!

If you step into the shop, almost all items are on sale. From hygiene to makeup…

There is a minimum purchase of $38 to be entitled to 20% (note: not all items in your basket). I often encountered my purchase which has not a single item of 20% off.  So if you buy one item with no promotion (lucky to find one that you need to use), you have to buy other stuff to top up to $38 just to enjoy the 20% off that single item.

Moreover, the sale item may not be cheaper than what you will find in other shops like NTUC.

So if almost all items are going on sale, why bother to have another 20% off where the customers are not able to enjoy anyway?

To conclude, it is a sale gimmick to make you spend more ($38 & above) and buy unnecessary items.

Boycott this gimmick!

Cashback for credit cards

this is my personal experience, it does not represent others, just sharing.
I think a large part depend on your "relationship" with the bank.
to me, this "relationship" is how much money you have in that bank, sad situation.

Citibank UOB DBS/POSB Standard Chartered
Card Cashback Visa Signature Everyday Mastercard Manhattan Mastercard
Cashback Monthly auto rebate into statement Limited merchants to use smart$
Has additional UNI$
Rebate immediately into card, can use almost immediately Qtrly rebate and if you have cancel the card, they forfeit the rebate without allowing you to use it
Customer Service1
5*
5*
3*
1*
5* being the best, 1* the worse customer service experienced

Footnote:
Not all transactions have rebates
I actually used the Manhattan card the most before this. Most of my shopping expenses and overseas travel were charged to it. My only "fault" was I did not have a savings / investment account with them. I decided to stop my banking relationship with SC after bad experience with them.

Metalico Flex iPhone Casing

This flexicurve iPhone cover is from Singtel shop and cost $19.90.
However, the quality is not up to standard. The casing actually melted when I charged it next to my laptop where the battery is only slightly heated up.
